Find the best Andorra eSIM

Why travelers buy an eSIM for Andorra

Use this page when the trip is a city plus a train to the next one. Maps, tickets and a laptop hotspot have to work after you leave the hotel.

Andorra is a walking Europe destination, not a lobby trip. The eSIM is the line that keeps maps and tickets alive the day room Wi-Fi disappears.

The same ticket often continues to France, United Kingdom and Italy. Compare those pages before you stack a second QR code.

The table above is the same catalog, not a marketing excerpt. Use the filters if the trip is short or data-heavy, then read the local partner.

A weekend in Andorra is not a two-week loop. Filter duration and data first, then read the local partner. Price per GB is the last cut.

• City break in Andorra: 3–8 GB is often enough if evening hotel Wi-Fi holds.
• Two weeks with trains or islands: aim for 10–20 GB, or unlimited with a written daily cap.
• Laptop or family: confirm tethering before you buy an unlimited label. A plan without a written hotspot rule is not a mobile office.

How to choose an eSIM for Andorra

A usable Andorra eSIM names its local partner, states when the validity clock starts, and prints a hotspot or fair-use rule in numbers. Price per GB is the tie-break after those three are readable.

Above, the table follows the same rules as our methodology: use the 5G, hotspot and unlimited filters to drop a card that names neither a network nor a speed cap.

Providers with live Andorra inventory include eSIM.dog, Airhub, AeroSIMs, iRoamly and Roamix. Check current promo codes before you pay: a mid-pack with a code that still works often costs less than the cheapest 1 GB sticker.

Which networks actually work in Andorra

Urban Europe is usually dense. Mountains, islands and border valleys are where the partner network on the card matters.

City centres in Andorra are usually covered. Intercity roads, islands and rural stretches are where the partner operator decides if the map still loads.

When two plans cost the same, prefer the one that names national 4G/5G partners ahead of a card that only says “local 4G/5G”. Airalo, Holafly, Nomad and the other storefronts resell access. The radio belongs to the local operator.

• national 4G/5G partners is a local partner you should look for on Andorra plan pages, not a travel brand.

How much data you need in Andorra

Maps and boarding passes are small. Video and a laptop hotspot are what move the meter. A city week often fits in 5–10 GB. Two weeks with tethering usually wants 15–20 GB, or an unlimited plan whose daily cap is printed in GB.

Pack sizes in the Andorra catalog range from short city testers to two-week travel volumes. That average is pulled up by large tourist plans: a weekend still does not need it.

Buy data for the trip you will actually take. Offline maps, boarding passes and messaging are cheap. Hotel Wi-Fi that dies, hotspot for a laptop, and social video in a taxi are what empty a 5 GB plan by Wednesday. For a number, use the data calculator before you filter the table.

Local Andorra plan vs Europe regional eSIM

Andorra is outside the EU roaming bloc that many cheap “Europe” plans actually cover. A plan that worked in France or Spain often excludes Andorra. Read the country list, then prefer a Andorra local profile unless the regional plan names Andorra in writing.

One country: start with local plans. Several countries by train: compare a Europe regional eSIM before you install a new profile in each city.

Browse every destination we cover in the destination directory, or stay inside Europe eSIM plans if this trip also includes France, United Kingdom and Italy.

Install and activate before you land in Andorra

Install on home Wi-Fi. Keep the home line for SMS and bank codes, with data roaming off on that line. Turn data roaming on only for the travel eSIM. Prefer a plan whose clock starts at the first attach in the country.

Before the QR code, confirm the phone can hold an eSIM — iPhone XS and later, Galaxy S20+ / Pixel 3+ in most cases, with US, China and Galaxy A exceptions. Check phone compatibility.

Activation is the second trap. Some Andorra plans start the validity clock the moment the profile is installed. Others wait until the first attach on a supported network. If you install ten days early on a “starts at install” plan, you burn the first week at home.

Unlimited, fair use and hotspot in Andorra

Unlimited on a travel eSIM almost never means uncapped full speed for the whole validity. It means full speed until a daily fair-use threshold, then a throttle that can make maps and hotspot unusable. If the provider will not publish that threshold in GB, treat the plan as unknown.

Unlimited plans appear in the Andorra catalog when providers offer them. 54% of listed plans mention hotspot. Hotspot is often tighter than on-device data. If you work from a laptop, filter for hotspot and still read the tethering cap.

A large fixed pack (15–20 GB) with a named network frequently beats a cheap unlimited that dies at 1 GB/day. Use the table’s data and duration filters, then open the provider sheet if the fair-use text is missing.

Mistakes that kill a Andorra eSIM

The failures we see on Andorra trips are rarely “the eSIM is fake”. They are locked phones, data roaming left off on the travel line, roaming left on on the home line (bill shock), and plans that started at install a week before the flight.

Keep the home number alive for bank SMS. Put data only on the Andorra eSIM. If the phone shows No Service after a correct install, the device is usually still carrier-locked or the wrong line is selected for cellular data.

Andorra-specific traps are listed below. They come from how this market is actually regulated and built, not from generic travel-blog filler.

• Unlimited usually means full speed until a daily cap, then a slower speed.
• Hotspot quotas are often smaller than on-phone data.
• A Europe regional plan is simpler for a rail trip. A local plan can sit on a stronger national network.

A free eSIM in Andorra

Two brands actually give Andorra data without a paid pack. Eskimo gives 1 GB with the code ESIMPTRIAL. Terms sit on the Eskimo promo page. GigSky opens a small trial allowance on selected plans. The ESIMP code (15% off) is on the GigSky promo page.

Elsewhere a $0 sticker often hides too little data to reach the hotel. If you want a real Andorra pack, compare the table (from EUR 0.45 today) and the promo catalog.

A local phone number in Andorra

Most Andorra travel eSIMs are data-only. Airalo, Holafly, Nomad and Eskimo do not open a local line. Dual-SIM keeps your home number for bank SMS.

Three exceptions to read before you buy. eSIMo offers a secondary number in the app (in-app calls, not a native Andorra carrier line). Orange Travel includes calls and SMS on selected plans, mainly in Europe. It is not automatic in Andorra. Yesim sells optional virtual numbers. If a number is mandatory, open those reviews instead of a data-only pack.
