How we compare plansStrengths
- Wide local and regional catalog from a few dollars
- QR delivery right after payment
- Plan pages spell out networks and what happens after the cap
- 4,779 current offers across 209 destinations
Limits
- Mostly data-only
- Some unlimited labels are daily caps that then throttle
- Independent review history is still thin
- Hotspot is not clearly marked on the sampled plans

What we measured on AirPlans
Four checks we apply to every provider. This is not a score, and it is not a paid ranking.
Price signal
Limited packs in this sample cluster around EUR 1.97/GB. Unlimited rows are left out, and the figure moves a lot between countries.
Product shape
AirPlans is prepaid data. Keep your home number for calls and texts unless a specific pack says otherwise.
Still verify
In this sample, 65% of plans flag 5G and 0% mention hotspot. A missing flag is not always a ban. Confirm both on the destination offer if they matter.

Good to know
AirPlans,
in plain terms.
When does AirPlans make sense?+
AirPlans is a plain prepaid travel eSIM. Prepaid country packs by QR, without an app in the way. In our current sample: 4,779 priced plans across 209 destinations, median EUR 1.97/GB on limited packs. Match destination, validity and hotspot on the exact pack before you pay.
Do you give this provider a score?+
No. We do not publish a customer rating or a best-provider badge. This page shows normalized catalog fields — price, data, validity, coverage, 5G and hotspot — plus sourced product notes. A commission on an outbound link does not change those numbers.
Are AirPlans plans data-only?+
Typical travel packs are data-only. Use your primary SIM or an app such as WhatsApp for calls and texts.
How should I read 5G and hotspot on this page?+
In the current AirPlans sample, 65% of plans advertise 5G and 0% mention hotspot. Both fields are plan-level and can be missing even when the network allows tethering. Check the destination offer if either is a deal-breaker.
Does AirPlans sell unlimited plans?+
We currently see unlimited-labelled AirPlans packs in 99 destinations, including Japan, South Korea, Thailand. The label often includes a fair-use or speed policy after a high-speed allowance.
Is there a AirPlans promo code?+
The current record lists ESIMC for 10% off. Eligibility can depend on the account and the plan. Confirm the discount in the payable total.
